Depending on the study, the average adult takes between 4,000 and 8,000 steps a day. But how often do we actually think about the act of walking? The Walking Yoga class will focus on how our feet connect with the ground, how posture influences our movement, and how to strengthen and balance the muscles that support us while walking. Through a series of yoga poses, participants will explore these connections, improving both their walking and overall body awareness. Most of the class will be done standing, so participants should be comfortable practicing in bare feet.
